When its comes to installing a car amplifier you need to carefully think about the location were you are going to mount it. Once its mounted, its going to be sitting there for a long time and factors such as heat and accessibility need to be taken into consideration. The two places that you want to avoid is inside the glovebox or underneath the seats. This is because both of them locations are stuffy and will cause the amplifier to overheat in the long term reducing its lifespan over the years of use. The two most ideal locations are behind the rear seats or on the back of the subwoofer enclosure box. Both are easily accessible making tuning much more easier and quicker, such as adjusting bass boost, gain or low pass filter settings on the go. Once you have decided on your location, what you will need to mount your car amplifier is a drill, a screwdriver and four small screws.
A drill will be required as you don't want to make the holes by inserting the screw and pushing down hard using a screwdriver. This can cause the wood to crack and split because its the inproper way of doing an car amp installation.
1) Place the car amplifier on the location were you want to mount, for example on the back of the seat. Using a marker pen make small marks were you want the screw holes to be created.
2) Drill out four screw holes that you have just marked up.
3) Line up the car amplifier with all four screws holes, holding it in place using your hand and insert screws into each of the four holes you have drilled out.
5) Now that you have done that using a screwdriver tighten each one to secure the amp in place from movement when you are driving about.
