What is The Meaning of a Monoblock Car Amp?

When purchasing a car audio amplifier, you might have come across the term monoblock and 2 or 4 channels in the specs. The meaning of a monoblock car amp means it can only provide you with one channel and that is why they are designed for connecting a car sub. That is why you always notice that monoblock car amps are always rated for higher power than any 2 or 4 channel ones because they are far more cheaper to manufacturer and reproduce. So you can't really connect your mids and highs to a monoblock car amp, firstly because it has no stereo sound and secondly it will be way to powerful for the voice coils to handle. So consider them as a bass amp.
