How To Make a Car Stereo System Louder

make car speakers louder

Music and driving at the same time provides the best combination ever. Whether you are stuck in traffic or on a long drive you can't go wrong with a good sounding system to keep you entertained on the go. If you are not happy with the sound you are getting from your current factory stereo system, there are a few things that you can do to get better sound quality from your car audio system. The audio eqiupment that is fitted in most car these days suits the average lister, which i think more than enough for most people these days. But if you are a little extra boom then there are lots of ways that you can implement to make your car stereo sound louder and better. I am going to explain how.

Replace the factory stereo. The stock radio plays CDs and station on the radio, but it lacks soudn enhancment features also the power will not be alot. Most factory car radios push no more than 15 watts per each speaker. Replacing a stock car stereo with a aftermarket one will provide more clean power that is distortion free to your car speakers. Pioneer. JVC, Kenwood and Sony make good quality headunits that have good build quality.

Replace the factory speakers. Factor ones have production cost ito consideration, this includes using cheap materials such as foam for the surround and paper for the cone. This can results in distortion at high volumes. Changing all the speaker to either coaxial or component will provide you better audio sound quality and a louder sounding sytem.

Add a car amplifier. The amplifier on a car stereo can only provide so much. An 4 small efficent car amplifier to power the speakers in the door will provide you with good clean power. Most people skip this and just stick a sub in. It can work in most cases, but if you want more clarity in your mids and highs (vocals) then an small aftermarket amplifier is the way to go i think.

Add a subwoofer. If you want to add more bass to your car stereo system, then adding a seperate car amp with a subwoofer will do nicely. You can have dual or single subwoofer setups, taking trunk space into your consideration. If you want deep bass, a 15 inch subwoofer will perform better and a 10 inch will provide a punchy sound. If you want louder bass, then a ported box tuned to 35 hz will work well in most cases. If you are after more sound quality and tighter bass then a sealed box will work better for you. A subwoofer can fart out bass, but which kind of bass you are after mostly depends on the box you place it in.
