If you have amplified the front and rear vocal speakers, its essential that you turn on the high pass filter, which is also known as HPF. This is because in order to adjust the car amp for the best sound, you will need to setup this feature to ensure that no bass is sent to them. This will defientely stop your car speakers distorting much earlier and make them sound more clearer. The high pass filter is only for use with a car amplifier that is connected for treble. There is no point of setting this up on a car amp that is connected to a subwoofer because then it won't be playing deep bass, it will be playing voice instead.
1) Look on the amplifier, locate the HPF switch and turn it on.
2) Get hold of a flat head screwdriver.
3) Adjust the HPF frequencies to 80 HZ. This means in simple terms that it will be playing anything above 80HZ, anything below it is bass and it will get filtered out for the car sub to handle.
