Your car amp can get stuck into protect mode if it is not reset once the fault has been identified and fixed. The protection light will not go off without resetting the car amplifier. All amplifiers have a protection mode circuit inside, if something is seen as a short the amp will stop itself from playing a music to prevent any damage to the transistors. The best way to reset a car amp out of protect mode is to terminate the 12 volt power going to it. This will wipe the internal memory clean and think to itself that its a new install that it has never been connected before.
1) Ensure that the car amp is on.
2) Head over to the trunk and unscrew the remote and power wire terminals.
3) Remove both wires and turn off the cars ignition.
4) Allow around 30 seconds for the car amp to reset out of protect mode and then reconnect them. back.
