When it comes to connecting car speakers to your amplifier there are two types of wiring options available for you to choose from. If you want to wire your car speakers to a amp in parallel wiring this will provide a really low ohm electrical resistance. This will allow the car amp to provide more power to the car speakers or subwoofers connected. For example, without parallel wiring it may see it as a 4 ohm load, but with making alternations and wiring the car speakers in parallel it will see it as a final 2 ohm load. But first you will need to find out how much low impedance ohm load your car amp can support, going too low beyond its limits can cause it to go into protection mode and damage the components on the circuit board. Overall, if you want more bass or loudness then i would recommend you to wire your car speakers to your amp in parallel. Series wiring is more popular for sound quality for car audio because it allows you to increase the ohm impedance higher, therefore reducing the distorting levels at high volume levels on your car stereo. Now you will need to be aware about how to connect speakers in parallel configuration, so use the instructions to help with this. This diagram shows you an overview of how to connect car speakers to a car amp in terms of were the wires go and how they are laid out.
This example is demonstrating two subwoofers / speakers connected to one mono block amplifier or you can see it as a bridged.
You can also use this free speaker parallel wattage software calculator which can be used to work out the amount of total impedance. Audio Impedance Calculator
1) Connect speaker cable to the first subwoofer terminals and back to the amp terminals ensuring that you have matched correct polarity.
2) Now connect the second speaker directly to the same channel terminals that are used for the first subwoofer. So two speaker wires will in fitted into the same positive and negative. Each pair will be going to a single subwoofer driver. So you are using one channel to drive both speakers.
