How To Wire & Install Neon LED Lights To Car Subwoofer

If you have got a nice subwoofer enclosure or a fibre glass build and you want to show it off more at car meets and shows, what you need is LED neon lights. You can get all kinds of colours and sizes, some also come in a speaker ring form that you can place around the speaker. There are two ways that you can connect neon light LED to your car subwoofers.

Directly to a 12 Volt source (It will be running when the amp is on and will not flash with the bass)

1) Unstrip insulation from the wires coming from the LED you want to connect.

2) Connect the red positive wire from the LED lighting into the 12 volt terminal on the amp, the same on were the power wire goes into.

3) Connect the other black wire into the ground terminal on the car amplifier.

Making it music sensitive (The LED neon lights will pulse and flash with the bass)

1) Unstrip insulation off the wires coming from the LED you want to connect.

2) Connect the red positive wire from the LED lighting into the + terminal on the speaker cup on the box.
3) Connect the black wire into the - terminal on the subwoofer box.
