If you have installed an aftermarket car stereo that has integrated satellite navigation system, you will need to wire up a GPS antenna. This is so the maps software can connect to the dish in the sky and pick up signal to get you directions on where you need to go. Now the best location placement is to install the GPS antenna in your vehicle next to the front windscreen. This is because then it will have a clear view to connect to the sky and nothing will be blocking it. To make things look extra factory, what we tend to do is place the GPS module onto the back of the rear view mirror.
1) Remove the car stereo from the dash.
2) Connect the GPS antenna to the relevant connection on the back of the wiring harness.
3) Now tuck the wires all the way to the back and through a space on the side panels.
4) Reach the wires up the left side pillar and stick on the GPS antennas using double side tape onto the back of the rear view mirror.
5) Took the wire in properly behind the plastic panels on the car and push the car stereo back in.
