If you notice that your car speakers rattle at high volumes on the radio when the bass drops there can be many different factors that create this annoying sound. This can affect the sound quality and make your car audio system sound like crap no matter how expensive your aftermarket speakers are. Most of the time its a minor fix, however if none of the solutions work then it could be most likely a blown speaker. Also before you consider the following ensure that you have removed all your items from your door pockets and slots, as its a common fix for rattling speakers. Since coins and canned drinks can cause this problem very easily and its mostly not noticed that its the cause.
1) Remove the plastic tabs on the car door card they will be scattered in various places. Underneath them there will be smalls screws, what you need to do is remove them all.
2) Lift off the door card in the upwards direction and remove any wires that connect to the window switches.
3) Now you will have access to the full door. Apply sound deading material to stop any vibrations, simply peel it in half and apply it onto all of the metal areas. Once you have applied it, give it a press down with a roller to ensure that it sticks down properly.
4) Get a screwdriver and go over each screw of the rattling speaker to ensure that ever screw is tight. Loose screws are also another common cause for car speakers to rattle with bass at high volumes when driving around town.
