A car stereo that is touchscreen that is fitted into the vehicle dashboard can become scratched from a dirty cloth or general use. For example, every time when you press the screen your finger nail could leave a small scratch behind. Usually this is not noticeable in most cases, however in direct sunlight you will be able to see it. Thankfully, with a bit of toothpaste you can remove most of the scratches without any problems, it is very easy. Toothpaste works wonders in the car audio world, it is also used to remove scratched from CD that are having skipping problems.

1) Turn off your touchscreen car stereo navigation screen.

2) Spray some cleaning solution onto the screen that is used for TVS and wipe it down with a micro fibre cloth. This is ideal because you want to remove all the dirt first from the screen.

3) Now that you have cleaned the actual screen and remove any finger prints, it’s time to remove the scratches. Place four dabs of toothpaste onto each four corners of the screen. Spread it across using your finger to cover all the areas of the scratched screen.

4) Now that you have done that, get a different clean microfiber cloth and buff in the toothpaste. Keep doing this for around 5 minutes. The toothpaste will act as a rubbing compound and will buff off any small scratches that may be seen.
