If you are noticing that there is strong amounts of distortion coming from your front door and back parcel shelf speakers, then you will need to enable the HPF setting on your car stereo. This basically blocks out any bass frequencies going to them from the amplifier inside the headunit. This means that they only play vocals and the bass is left to an external subwoofer that is connected. This will help clean up the sound in your car audio system from the speakers. This option is usually something that you find on most aftermarket car stereos, so you might not find it with an original factory radio that came with your vehicle.
1) Go into the settings for your car stereo.
2) Select 'Audio'.
3) Select HPF (High Pass Filter) and go into it.
4) It should give you different frequencies were it will start to filter the sound from, usually from 80 HZ and upwards. We always recommend to set it at 80 HZ, as thats the optimal adjustment to roll of the bass from car speakers. You could set it higher if you notice clipping or distortion sooner than you expect when you increase the volume high on the headunit.
