No amp to speakers using the 52x4 internal mosfet power:

1) Ensure that the car stereo is playing a track from your CD and is not in the mute mode. If this is occurring then no sound will come out of the speakers regardless if everything else is connected fine.

2) Check that the rear wiring harness is firmly connected into the back of the stereo. Also check each individual speaker wire to see if its securely attached. Refer to the wiring diagram to ensure that you have connected it to the correct wires.

3) There could be a short on one of the four speakers wires. Best way to help identify which one it is can be done be disconnecting each pair of speaker wires and looking out for any sound as soon as it comes off.  They can short if the magnet is touching the back of the door or due to old wiring, but like this its hard to say what it could be to be fair.

External amp connected to Sony Xplod radio to speaker:

1) Check the amp has power. Look on it to see if the power LED light indicator is lighted up, if its getting 12 volts it should be a green color. Also look out for any lights that show if its in protect mode because if it is the amp won't play any sound. If this is the case then check the power, ground and remote wires.

2) Ensure that the RCA cables are connected into the right sockets on the back of the stereo. They should be connected into the front / rear outputs found on the back and the RCA inputs on the car amp. Also ensure that they are pushed in all the way to prevent any kind of loose connection.

3) Check the gain is not turned all the way down because if it is then the amp will not process the sound signal from the amp. This can be a common mistake that we have seen frequently at the car audio workshop that has been done accidentally.
