If you have a factory fitted car stereo and want to replace it with an aftermarket headunit, then you will need to use din removal tools or keys to release it from the metal cage fitted inside the slot. Now sometimes the tools can be slighlty out of alignment, cheap or bent and can accidently get stuck inside while trying to remove the radio. Now it is all technique dependent on how you remove them from the car stereo as you can make the situation worse and actually snap the metal ends into the radio. We have had a few customers in the past that have come into the car audio shop with din tools stuck in there car stereo. This is the best way that we have mastered that works all the time without breaking anything. So all you need to do really if you are in the same situation is to follow the same exact instructions and you will easily be able to remove the tools that is stuck in your car stereo.
1) Grab both din tools in the middle of the half loops.
2) Now carefully pull them apart away from the middle area while attempting to pull them out.
3) When they are almost to the end of coming out quickly pull them to release them.
