If you tend to drive fast in your car and you notice the car stereo keeps sliding out of the dash slot, it can disconnect from the wiring harness making it fall out. This is the last thing you want when you are listening to your favourite music loud when driving on tight corners on the highway. Now the reason why most car radios slide out of the dash slot is because you have not used a mounting cage. This fits directly into the din slot and locks the CD player in when its fitted to prevent it coming out from any kind of movement. Whether its a factory stock or aftermarket, you will need to ensure that you have the correct mounting bracket kit.
1) Unplug the wiring harness that goes into the back of the car stereo and remove the CD player from the din slot.
2) Insert the metal frame sleeve cage mounting frame into the din slot.
3) Push the tabs on the side to secure it down and use any side mounting screws to hold it in place.
4) Now that you have done this its firmly fixed into the vehicle dashboard slot and its not going to go anywhere. All you need to do now is reconnect the wiring harness and place the car stereo back into the dash slot.
