If you have disconnected the car battery because it needed replacing then the short term memory inside the radio fitted into the dashboard will be wiped clean. This means that all the settings including the programmed radio code is deleted off. However if you have lost or misplaced the original radio code for your Seat leon car radio you can reset and unlock it. This is the best method that has been come across due to a recent discovery how the insides of how the chips work. Now this is not guranteed to work all models due to having the 5PCL chip in some, but its something you should give a try. We have tried it out and have unlocked three radios out of 5 that had a radio code on them.
With these instructions you don't need any Seat Leon radio CD player code generator software or programs. This only works for the older models though.
1) Remove the keys from the cars ignition switch. The seat leon radio if locked and protected by a code should display the message 'SAFE'.
2) Press the power button down 10 times followed by holding down the program button at the ninth push of the button.
3) The radio will now ask you to enter a radio code. Press the '2' radio preset button and hold it down for 5 seconds. Then press the power button again 5 times.
4) If done correctly you should hear a beep sound played through the car speakers and the screen will display 'FREE'. This will bypass the security radio code on your Seat branded car radio.
