3) If the cables are connected firmly then it could be that the fuse is blown. Look at the back of the CD changer some come fitted with a small fuse to protect it if there is something gone wrong. Pull it out, check if its blown you can tell if the middle wire is snapped. If its looks ok then you might need to take your CD player in for a repair or perhaps it would be cheaper getting it replaced.

4) If the cartridge is jammed in and it won't eject then you will not be able to change the discs.
