How To Make a MP3 CD for Car CD Player

how to burn mp3 cd for car

If you have a newish car stereo fitted into your car it will probably support mp3 playback. What this means is that you can add more tracks onto a CD in a .mp3 format. A normal CD can hold around about 20 but with burning a mp3 disc for your car stereo you can put around about a hundred. Now the reason why you can fit more is because they are compressed down making the file size reduced. You will need your music files to already be in .mp3 format, if they arent then you can use a free mp3 converter online. Once you have the files you will need CD burning software, some good ones are Nero and Roxio to install onto your PC.

1) Launch the Disc burning software onto your computer.

2) Pick the option from the list that says add files to disc.

3) Select all the files you want to record to the mp3 disc from the directory or pathway.

4) Ensure that you have made the most out of the available space on the disc. Set the burn speed to 16X it will take longer than 52X but it will ensure that all the information gets recorded as accurately as possible.

5) Press the eject button the disc drive will pop open, place your blank media into the drive and close it.

6) Click the burn button and the .mp3 tracks will begin to process and be transferred onto the blank CD. When its done the disc will eject itself ready to be used in your car headunit.
