If you have a JVC branded car stereo installed into your vehicle, you might want to perform a quick reset back to factory settings. This could be because you have messed around with the settings or have changed the language by accident and want to restore it back to its original settings. Now there is different methods depending on what model of the radio you have whether it is a newer or older model. Both have been provided in this guide so that you don't have to search around for different information. These have been extracted from the JVC userguide manuals that we have at workshop and translated into the simplest form for you to understand.
Method 1:
1) Hold down 'Select' and 'Standby/ON' buttons together.
2) Keep these held down for more than 6 seconds.
3) The chip inside that stores all the settings will now erase them.
Method 2:
1) Remove the front control panel from the JVC stereo.
2) Look near the CD slot, there should be a small reset button.
3) Get a small object such as a paper clip and push it in while the stereo is on.
