If you want to reset your Clarion branded car stereo back to factory settings because the CD is stuck, its worth giving it a try. Please be aware that this will not remove any kind of security code or lock placed on the headunit. All it will do is basically remove all the presets and settings that you have made changes back default. Sometimes it can fix problems, so here are the instructions on resetting your Clarion car stereo.
1) Switch on the Clarion car stereo you want to factory reset.
2) Pop off the front panel.
3) Near the slot were a disc goes into you will see a small reset button.
4) Using the end of a needle or paper clip press the reset button down for a couple of seconds.
5) The graphics displayed on the screen will restart. This will confirm that the reset on the Clarion car stereo is completed.
