If your car amp is stuck in protection mode, you have fixed the problem and the flashing protect light is not going off, you will need to reset it. This will involve you to temporarily terminate any power going to the insides for a short period of time. This is safe to do and you won't loose any settings since they are setup through hardware and not electronically like with car CD player stereos.
1) Power off the car engine and turn off the ignition followed by taking the key out.
2) Pop open the front hood and obtain access to the car battery.
3) Get a spanner and remove the bolt that the red power wire the car amp connects to which is on the + positive post terminal.
4) Unplug the red power cable for 30 seconds and reattach it back on. You may notice a small spartk when reconnecting this is absolutely normal as there has been no power circulating into it for a short while.
