You can add an additional large or small subwoofer to your car audio system to gain that extra bass that you are looking for that you can't obtain from regular door speakers. The location of putting a sub in a car is always in the rear trunk. This is because the cabin reflects the bass waves back into the car making it sound more louder than placing the box onto the seats. Now the sub box placement is very important to ensure that you get the optimal sound that you are looking for. Once you have your car amplifier connected to the car stereo and the battery, you will need to put the subwoofer in the cars trunk. This is the exact method that we always use when fitting a subwoofer enclosure box into a customer car. If you can turn on a light switch then you will be able to install it its really that simple.
1) Turn off the cars ignition. You don't want any power going into the car amp when connecting the speaker wires to the subwoofer. This is because you can create a short if they accidentally come in contact with each other frying the amps transistors or placing it into protect mode.
2) Open your trunk. You will need to make space for the subwoofer enclosure. Remove any junk or unnecessasry items that you no longer need into storage.
3) Placing the sub into the trunk. The best placement method for putting a subwoofer into a cars trunk is the cone facing the back not towards the rear seats. This is because the cone can reflect the waves back onto the trunk lid and bounce them back into the cabin. This will make the bass sound louder outside the car and deeper inside.
4) Connect the sub. Find the terminal cup on the subwoofer box there will be two screws. Unscrew them both and insert the speaker wire from the car amp matching it up with negative and positive.
