car subwoofer inverted

You might want to invert mount your subwoofer into your sealed or ported enclosure. The benefit of doing so will help make the bass play deeper because less space is being taken up inside the box. Parts of the speaker such as the metal outer basket and magnet can infact take up substantial space up inside the box. Apart from inverted subwoofers sounding better and louder, it will also make your system look cool when you open the trunk if you got some subwoofers will lots of eye candy. If you are wondering how to invert mount your car subwoofers, all you need is a screwdriver and around 5 minutes of your time.

1) Open the trunk. Now depending on your box type and fit, you may need to take it out of the car.

2) Remove all the screws that are holding down the subwoofer into the enclosure.

3) Disconnect the speaker wire going into the push in terminals on the woofer basket.

4) Now flip the subwoofer inverted, so that the magnet side is facing upwards and the cone of the speaker is downwards. Line it up with the screw holes placed on the box.

5) Insert each screw into the hole and tighten it up. You will need to run separate speaker wire that goes outside the box to the amplifier. As you can't use the wire that is going to the terminal cup inside the box, unless perhaps you drill a small hole on the side and fill it up with silicone.
