How To Turn OFF Bass On Car Speakers

You either love it or you hate it with having tons of overpowering booming bass coming from your car speakers and subwoofer. Sometimes it can get too much as you can't hear the actual vocals in the music and it makes music sound distorted much quicker at higher volume levels. So what you can do is temporarily turn off the bass or reduce it to decrease the effect it has on your car speakers. The best way to do this is from the controls provided by the car stereo.

1) Go into the audio settings of your car headunit.

2) Find the graphic equalizer. If your radio is not so advanced and is a factory fit, you will need to find the bass setting that is found separately to reduce it if you don't have an eq option. If your car stereo has an eq move on to step 3.

3) Open up the eq and adjust the first slider on the left hand side of the screen. It should be labelled between 50 or 60 HZ which is the frequency that cover the bass region. To turn off the bass on your car speakers turn down this setting all the way down to the lowest DB level.
