How To Make Factory Car Speakers Sound Better

Now sometimes factory car speakers are decent sounding its how they are setup that makes them sound like crap. Now of course aftermarket ones are always going to sound better, however if you are tight of cash at the moment its best to work with what you have got. Car factory speakers are usually cheaply made the cone is produced from paper so they are more likely to run into distortion quicker. Now a couple of music heavy customers have come into our car audio shop recently to see what we could do to their car audio system while keeping everything stock as possible..With a few changes here and there a noticeable improvement to the bass and clarity of the system can be greatly noticed. So today you will learn how to make the factory bose car speakers in your car sound better without replacing them.

1) Fine tune the equalizer setting. Most stock factory systems have an option in the audio settings that allows you to play around with the different sound bands to get the best out your music. The ones on the left are aimed towards more bass and the ones found on the right are towards treble. They come usually in 5 or 10 bands for car audio systems, the more you have the better control you get. Using the equalizer can make a big difference to the sound quality and make any cheap Bose factory new or old car speakers sound better.

2) Apply sound deadening. This is basically a material that can be placed onto any metal panels, such as the inside of your door behind the interior door card to help stop vibrations or rattles. This works by absorbing the impacts from the bass and also helps reduce road noise. Its easy to apply, all you do is peel the sheet into half, apply the sticky side onto the door panel and go over it with a roller. A good brand that we always use at the shop is Dynamat, as it is cost effective and the company has done a lot of research to get the best results for its customers.

3) Don't use bluetooth for tracks. What most people do these days is connect the phone via bluetooth to their car multimedia stereo for music playback. Now this is convenient to say the least, but the sound quality is terrible. We noticed on a customers car during testing that the bass distorted more quickly and the treble was more harsh through bluetooth in comparison to an CD. We would always suggest you use CD with high quality files or an AUX cable.
