Everybody wants a loud subwoofer box to make their music feel and sound more fun. The enclosure of a subwoofer plays a very important factor in determining the sound that is coming out from it. The design the and the build quality can make a day and night difference to how your bass sounds from your car subwoofer. A cheap improper designed box that you place your sub into will not be as good as a custom-made box built to the correct spec. If you have got the right subwoofer box and you are looking to increase bass with the same amount of power, you can apply polyfil stuffing into the box. Basically, this tricks the subwoofer into thinking that the subwoofer box is bigger, providing loud deeper bass to be heard. This works well with sealed and vented types of boxes.
1) Remove all the screws that hold the subwoofer
into the box.
2) Remove the speaker wire that connects into the
back of the sub.
3) Cut the polyfil to form the shape of the inside
of the box. Its best to use some sort of carpet glue so that it sticks onto the
inside of the box. That way it can't come in the way off blocking the speaker
when the vibrations are created from the low bass from your subwoofer.
4) Place the subwoofer back into the box. Check how
it sounds, if you like the improvement of the sound then you’re done. If you
think you can achieve a better sound, then keep adding small amounts of polyfil
until you have achieved your increase in bass from your subwoofer box.
