If you have listening to your car sound system while the car is off, you try starting your car and the car battery is dead you will need to take action. Using your main starting battery for your car audio system while the engine is off is a bad idea. The alternator will not be charging it up and will only be drained by the amp. This is why most installers that go to shows have two or more batteries for reserve. What you can do is charge the car battery with another car using jumper leads.
1) Move the jumper car close as possible to the dead vehicle engine bay.
2) Attach the jump leads from one car battery to another following the positive and negative colors.
3) Start the working vehicle and let it run for 10 minutes. During this, you might want to sit in the car and listen to the radio or something. While the engine is running it will transfer the charge from car to car.
4) Attempt to start the vehicle with the dead car battery in. While doing so tell the other person in the working vehicle to rev the engine to ramp up the voltage to get that strong cranking power. Once the engine is on the car previously with a dead car battery, you can simply remove the jump leads.
