How To Fix Metal Mesh Dented Car Speaker Grill

A metal speaker grill is placed onto the actual speaker to prevent any damage occur to the cone. Its very common with car audio that the front door metal mesh speaker grills always get dented or pushed in. This is because when you get in and out of the car door or a regular basis, your more likely to kick it accidentally with your foot. The grill is there for protection, if it wasnt installed it would be the cone that would have been dented and not the actual grill itself. So in order to fix the dented speaker grille, you will need to remove it from the actual speaker first before you can begin with the repair process. You can also use this same described repair method to easily fix a dented beats pill speaker, so you don't have to buy a replacement grill.

1) Remove the metal mesh dented car speaker grill from your vehicle.

2) Get some flat wood such as birch wood board or MDF. You need something that is not bumpy and also wood that you don't want to keep. You could use your wooden coffee table or kitchen worktop, but doing the repair on it will cause marks to appear on the surface destroying it slightly.

3) Turn the dented speaker grill upside down onto the flat wood surface, so that the dent in the metal mesh is now facing downwards.

4) Get a hammer and start to bash in the dented area rapidly. This will forcefully push out the dents. from the grille until they are no longer existent.
