If your Sony Xplod Car Stereo Radio has power, the button lights come on but there is no display on screen, you can't make adjustments to the audio settings so easily. If your radio gets power but no display, it is usually the front panel connectors from the removable faceplate that need cleaning. If that doesn't work then you will need to apply a quick and easy factory reset. This can be easily done by presing down the reset button for a couple of seconds and letting go to see if you can make the screen display come back on.
1) Remove the front pop of panel from the actual headunit fitted into your car.
2) Apply a few drops of cleaning alcohol onto the metal gold contacts on the back of the panel.
3) Get a new dry cotton bud and rub the solution in until its no longer visible.
If both cleaning the contacts, as well as resetting your radio still gets power but there is no display on the screen you will need to replace it as its a faulty unit and it is showing you signs of degradation.
